David spent seven years in veterinary practice prior to completing his PhD in equine exercise physiology in 1987. He has over 20 years experience in research and consulting in equine exercise physiology and worked as Associate Professor at the University of Sydney until 2008. David's research interests have included the physiological responses to exercise and training in the race horse, and factors influencing racing performance. He is the author of “Training and Fitness in Athletic Horses”, published by the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation, Canberra. |
Graeme holds an Honours Degree in Agricultural Science from LaTrobe University (1973) and a Veterinary Science degree from the University of Queensland (1979). His interest in equine exercise physiology began while at university, including some pioneering post-graduate work in field evaluations of horses. After more than 20 years in equine veterinary practice (including 10 years as principal of one of the largest Equine Reproduction practices in Victoria), Graeme spent some time teaching equine veterinarians in Turkey before returning to work with a veterinary pharmaceutical company in Australia. During this time, he was instrumental in the development of E-Trakka ®, as part of a high-tech equipment venture.

He has been appointed FVD for the South-East Asian Games in Thailand, 2007. |
Janelle completed her BVSc(Hons) in 1983 (University of Qld). During 15 years in equine veterinary practice, she developed particular interests in equine surgery, foal medicine and veterinary veterinar business management. For the last 8 years, Janelle has divided her time between complaints management (Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria and the Australian Veterinary Association) and veterinary pharmaceutical marketing (including early involvement in the E-Trakka ® project). Janelle is an FEI Event Veterinarian, and has been active in performance horse sports for many years. Communicating veterinary knowledge to horse owners and trainers remains a driving interest. |
